a note to my students =)
hello my lovely students (or whoever is reading this)!
below are the pictures we took together recently. i hope the picture sizes are okay for you guys! haha cos some of you suggested that i send the pictures to all of you through email but i don't think i can attach so many of them at one go lol so yeah, guess i'll just post the pics here for your convenience! =)
anyway, to my classes 07S07, 07S15, 07S18 and 07S28 of the 1st three months batch at sajc, thanks for all the fun and laughter we had together. it was definitely an enriching experience for me. haha. too bad some of you will be leaving soon and you guys won't remain as an official class after the 1st three months but hey, as everyone of you pursue your different goals in life and move on to different jcs/poly (some of you), let us keep this memory etched in our hearts cos u all are lucky to have crossed paths with me. haha just kidding. =P i am the one who should be feeling lucky to have had the chance to teach such wonderful students lah. =)
okay, so you guys will be getting back your results on friday. don't be too anxious. i remember not being able to sleep the night before the release of my results. hehe. don't be like me! for those who are satisfied with your results, give thanks to God, pat yourself on the shoulders and make the right decision in choosing your jc/poly in accordance to what you want your next phase of life to be like. as for those who are not that satisfied with your results, do not fret! your journey does not end here. trust me, you will have plenty of opportunities to develop and showcase your talents (be it academic or non-academic)! just aim for better results for the next big exam (ie. 'A' levels if ur staying in a jc) and focus! the next two years should definitely not go to waste. put your studies first, listen attentively during lectures and do all your tutorials consistently. and although this may sound cliche, do ask when in doubt! don't be shy. remember - there are no such things as stupid questions. =) yup. of all my years of studying, i personally consider that the most important. to ask when in doubt because your teacher will always be there for you. make sure you ask your question super clearly and get a satisfying answer from your teacher. if not, probe and pester him even more until you get satisfied. =P yeah, just some advice for y'all! oh, and time management is very, very important. learn how to balance your work and play well so you can have the best of both worlds. don't "pia" last minute!!! 'A' levels is not like 'O' levels as the syllabus is really in depth. you can't grasp it overnight. it has to be done over the course of your study (two years) consistently. sounds very cliche, but really, as a student who has gone through the 'A' level syllabus myself, the above pointers are really what i have to give. =)
okay i guess i will stop my nagging and preaching now. haha. remember, no matter what results you get, don't fret. what's important is that you've put in your best.
lastly, i wish you guys ALL THE BEST on getting your results and your future endeavors! we may never meet again... *sob* haha. but yeah, do stay in touch by leaving comments on this blog or by emailing me at elsa_leong@hotmail.com. if you need someone to chat with (about relationship problems if you want, haha... or school problems or anything under the sun), do email me too.
